Systems Development Engineer, Kuiper Enterprise Technology

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to revolutionize global broadband access through a constellation of over 3,000 satellites in low Earth orbit. As a Systems Development Engineer in the Kuiper Enterprise Technology team, you'll be instrumental in building the software, services, and infrastructure that power the future of LEO Satellite based broadband services.

The role offers a unique opportunity to work in an AWS-focused, builder-centric organization where you'll manage and provision AWS infrastructure, design cloud environments, and drive operational excellence. You'll be part of a high-output hybrid team of Sys Devs, SDEs, and Sys Engineers supporting Kuiper's enterprise applications.

Key responsibilities include managing AWS infrastructure (EC2, CloudFormation, AppStream), building enterprise-grade environments using Infrastructure as Code, architecting solutions on AWS GovCloud, and driving automation for scalability. You'll work closely with business and tech stakeholders to implement service infrastructure for satellite production.

The position requires expertise in automation, programming, and Linux/Unix systems. Note: Due to export control regulations, this position requires U.S. citizenship. The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $116,300 to $201,200 per year, depending on location and experience, plus additional benefits and equity.
