AWS is launching its first European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), a significant advancement in utility computing. This role is part of the AWS Managed Operations team, focusing on building and leading operations for high-availability AWS services like EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock exclusively for EU customers. The position combines operational excellence with development, requiring a 50-50 split between operating production systems and making long-term improvements. You'll work with technology leaders, enhance daily operations, and ensure optimal service performance. The role involves occasional on-call rotations and requires strong technical skills in cloud computing, automation, and system reliability.
