AWS is launching its first European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), a major advancement in utility computing. This role within the AWS Managed Operations team is crucial for building and leading operations and development teams focused on high-availability AWS services like EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock specifically for EU customers. The position involves working with AWS's global teams to launch ESC in 2025, improving service reliability, and ensuring excellent customer experience. As a Systems Development Engineer, you'll balance daily operations with long-term engineering solutions, collaborating with technology leaders to enhance service availability, performance, and efficiency. The role requires participation in on-call rotations and offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies.
