Systems Development Engineer, Managed Operations

AWS Managed Operations (MO) is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to join their team founded in April 2023. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on some of the largest software systems ever built, focusing on reducing operational load and toil through long-term engineering projects. As part of the Utility Computing (UC) organization, you'll support critical AWS services including S3, EC2, and other innovative cloud solutions.

The position combines hands-on operations with strategic engineering work, split 50/50 between managing production systems and implementing long-term improvements. You'll be part of a best-in-class engineering team responsible for AWS Regions' day-to-day operations, focusing on availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency.
