Description For Systems Development Engineer, Software Health Automation

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to launch a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) to provide global broadband access. The Software Health Automation team plays a crucial role in maintaining and managing the Kuiper Software lab infrastructure. This position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge space technology while ensuring the quality and reliability of software that will operate both on the ground and in space.

As a Systems Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and maintaining test fixtures, building automation infrastructure, and ensuring high availability of lab environments. Responsibilities For Systems Development Engineer, Software Health Automation

  • Design, set up and maintain test fixtures to verify software on real hardware
  • Write software and scripts for operations to keep things running and highly available
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware problems with pre-production equipment
  • Design and build advanced automated build, test and release infrastructure

Requirements For Systems Development Engineer, Software Health Automation

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field
  • 2+ years of experience in test lab support, operational hardware support
  • 2+ years of experience with test automation, debugging, building test tools and testing frameworks
  • 2+ years of experience working with Linux based systems
  • 2+ years of experience in computer networking (admin level)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
