AWS SysDev Engineering, Tooling & Automation (SETA) team is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to join their dynamic organization. This role focuses on building and maintaining critical tooling and automation that AWS support engineers rely on for customer issue diagnosis and resolution. Responsibilities For Systems Development Engineer, Tooling & Automation (SETA)

  • Lead the design, build, and implementation of technical solutions to complex problems
  • Lead reviews of architecture, design, operations, process, or post-incident analysis
  • Drive automation and refactoring of existing solutions, including incorporating new generative AI and machine learning components
  • Ensure scalability, reliability and efficiency of automation processes
  • Report and analyze usage statistics of team-owned tools and services
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks and deficiencies
  • Define team's technical strategy and operating models
  • Hire and develop others through coaching and mentoring
  • Participate in on-call rotations

  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
