AWS Region Services team is seeking a System Development Manager to support Operations in Australia. This role combines development and operations in a true DevOps environment, working with cutting-edge services and massive-scale systems. The position involves building and supporting internal tools used by AWS developers worldwide.

As a Systems Development Manager, you'll lead a team responsible for automating processes, managing large-scale services, and ensuring operational excellence. You'll work closely with some of the leading minds in distributed systems, handling everything from development to troubleshooting high-severity issues. The role requires deep technical expertise in Linux systems, development tools, and best practices.

Responsibilities For Systems Development Manager

  • Develop and deploy operational tools to automate processes

Requirements For Systems Development Manager

Linux
  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 7+ years of engineering experience
  • 7+ years of leading multi-tier web services development
  • Knowledge of full software/hardware/networks development life cycle
  • Experience partnering with product/program management teams
  • Must hold or be able to attain Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance
  • Strong Linux system administration skills
  • Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Knowledge of networking tools and protocols
