Systems Development Manager

AWS Region Services team is seeking a System Development Manager to support Operations in Australia. This role combines development and operations in a true DevOps environment, working with cutting-edge services and massive-scale systems. The position involves building and supporting internal tools used by AWS developers worldwide. You'll be part of the Utility Computing (UC) organization, supporting critical AWS services like S3 and EC2.

The role demands a strong technical background in Linux systems, development tools, and distributed systems. You'll be responsible for automating processes, managing team members, and ensuring operational excellence across AWS data centers. The position requires both technical expertise and leadership skills, as you'll be working with various teams to design and implement solutions while managing and mentoring team members.

Key aspects include collaborating with Product Teams, managing high-severity events, and presenting to senior leadership.
