Join Amazon's Endpoint Security Capabilities and Platform Engineering (ESCAPE) team as a Systems Engineer, where you'll be instrumental in protecting Amazon's vast infrastructure through mission-critical security solutions. This role focuses on managing and enhancing endpoint security tools and services that monitor and respond to suspicious activity across Amazon and its subsidiaries.
As a Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for implementing, operating, and improving security agent services, working with both first-party and third-party solutions. Your daily activities will include monitoring system health, addressing alerts, and collaborating with various teams to optimize agent deployments. You'll work closely with product owners to prioritize features and plan deployments, while maintaining system performance at scale.

Responsibilities For Systems Engineer, ESCAPE
- Administer and optimize the deployment, configuration, and performance of endpoint security agents
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements
- Develop and maintain automated processes for security services management
- Troubleshoot complex issues and drive problem resolution
- Leverage monitoring and analysis tools to identify and address security risks
- Evaluate and test new capabilities to enhance endpoint security platform
- Stay current with latest trends and best practices in endpoint security
Requirements For Systems Engineer, ESCAPE
- Bachelor's degree in STEM field or 5+ years of equivalent experience
- 3+ years Experience in information technology in a related industry
- 3+ Years experience with managing and deploying Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Anti-Virus (AV), and or Data Loss Prevention (DLP) services
- Experience in deploying and supporting applications and infrastructure in a 24x7 production environment
- Experience working with different Operating Systems such as Linux/Unix, macOS, and Windows
- Experience with scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, and familiarity with shell scripting (e.g., Bash)
