Amazon Prime Air is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join their innovative drone delivery program. This role combines aerospace engineering with cutting-edge robotics technology, focusing on the development and integration of drone avionics systems.

As a Systems Engineer at Prime Air, you'll be at the forefront of revolutionizing delivery logistics through autonomous drone technology. Responsibilities For Systems Engineer, Prime Air

  • Define, develop, test, and deliver solutions for Prime Air's Drone Avionics Subsystem
  • Break down and frame problems using con-ops and use cases
  • Drive and prioritize system test campaigns across lab and field-testing environments
  • Develop system integration and evaluation strategies
  • Perform technical risk assessments (PSSA, FHA, FMEA)
  • Propose changes to system architecture across multiple sub-systems
  • Generate artifacts for design reviews, validation, verification and certification (FAA & EASA)
  • Conduct trade studies and cross-functional trade-offs
  • Build quantitative models and analyses using Excel, MATLAB, Python

Requirements For Systems Engineer, Prime Air

  • BS or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field
  • 4+ years of experience in systems engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in design, integration, and testing of Avionics hardware
  • Experience with power systems, communication protocols, and embedded computing
  • Experience working with aircraft electrical power systems
  • Familiarity with RTCA DO-254, RTCA-DO-160, RTCA-DO-178 standards
  • Experience using Jama or similar requirements database tool
  • Experience leading technical collaborations across diverse groups
  • Experience in design and analysis of safety critical systems
