Responsibilities For Systems Engineer/Architect, Amazon Robotics Systems Architecture Team
- Define, expand, and explore the design space for complex, multidisciplinary robotics and automation problems
- Identify and analyze cross-functional tradeoffs between design alternatives
- Break down and frame problems using CONOPS, use cases, and structural/functional decompositions
- Identify design choices to ensure products are safe, reliable, and usable
- Build quantitative models and analyses using Excel, MATLAB, Python, and internal tools
- Perform technical risk assessments
- Develop system integration and evaluation strategies
- Drive and prioritize execution of system test campaigns
Requirements For Systems Engineer/Architect, Amazon Robotics Systems Architecture Team
- BS or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Physics, or another STEM discipline
- 6+ years of engineering experience
- Experience with eliciting and clarifying business and end user needs
- Experience participating or leading technical collaborations
- Experience analyzing dependencies, tradeoffs, and sensitivities across multi-disciplinary systems
- Understanding of systems engineering tools and best practices
- Familiarity with test strategies and plans for complex hardware/software systems
