Systems Engineering Manager

AWS is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to join their Region Services team, focusing on building and operating AWS regions to enable cloud infrastructure and services. This role offers an opportunity to work on some of the world's largest and most complex distributed systems. The position involves leading and developing teams, driving operational excellence, and solving complex technical challenges through innovative cloud computing solutions.

The role is part of the Utility Computing (UC) organization, which provides foundational services like Amazon S3 and EC2, along with continuous product innovations. You'll be responsible for supporting various AWS services including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps.

As a Systems Engineering Manager, you'll identify operational pain points, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement. You'll collaborate with world-class leaders, manage and develop teams, and ensure operational excellence through automation and tool building. The role requires strong technical leadership, with responsibilities including root cause analysis, service health reporting, and customer relationship management.
