Description For Technical Account Manager

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Technical Account Manager to join their Enterprise Support team. This role combines technical expertise with customer relationship management, serving as a trusted advisor and cloud operations architect for Enterprise Support customers. The position requires a professional who can bridge the gap between technical implementation and business strategy, helping customers maximize their AWS cloud investment.

As a Technical Account Manager, you'll work with a diverse portfolio of customers, from emerging startups to large enterprises, providing guidance on architecture, support strategy, and operational excellence. You'll be responsible for ensuring AWS environments remain healthy while optimizing costs and reducing complexity. The role demands strong technical knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS databases, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, and IoT.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of technical engineering experience, with a background in cloud technologies and customer-facing roles. Fluency in both English and Hebrew is required, as you'll be working with Israeli market customers. You'll need to demonstrate expertise in various technical domains including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security, while maintaining strong communication skills to engage with both technical teams and C-suite executives.

Responsibilities For Technical Account Manager

  • Advise on solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for the customer
  • Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexity
  • Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges
  • Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
  • Consult with partners from developers through to C-suite executives
  • Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
  • Provide detailed reviews of service events, monthly & quarterly metrics, detailed pre-launch planning
  • Solve problems across different customers as they migrate workloads to the cloud
  • Uplift customer capabilities by running workshops and brown bag sessions

Requirements For Technical Account Manager

  • 3+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Experience as a Technical Account Manager, Consultant, Solutions Architect, Platform Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Cloud Architect
  • Understanding of operational parameters for Compute, Storage, Networking, CDN, Databases, DevOps, Big Data and Analytics, Security
  • Customer-facing experience with ability to articulate to audiences
  • Ability to juggle tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English and Hebrew
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and tools
