Description For Technical Account Manager, ES - EMEA-ISV

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Technical Account Manager to join their Enterprise Support team. As a trusted advisor and cloud operations architect, you'll play a crucial role in helping enterprise customers maximize their value from AWS cloud technology. You'll work with iconic businesses ranging from startups to large enterprises, providing expertise in architecture, support strategy, and operational excellence.

The role involves crafting and executing strategies to drive customer adoption of AWS services, including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS databases, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, and IoT. You'll be responsible for building solutions, providing technical guidance, and ensuring AWS environments remain operationally healthy while optimizing costs and reducing complexity.

Working in EMEA, you'll have abundant opportunities to develop your technical, consulting, and leadership skills while collaborating with talented cloud technologists. The position offers mentorship opportunities and support for obtaining AWS certifications. You'll engage with various stakeholders, from developers to C-suite executives, and work alongside AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, and Professional Services Consultants.

Programming knowledge in languages like Java, Python, Ruby, or PHP is advantageous but not required. Responsibilities For Technical Account Manager, ES - EMEA-ISV

  • Build solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for customers
  • Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity
  • Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges
  • Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
  • Consult with partners from developers through to C-suite executives
  • Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
  • Proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
  • Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions, monthly & quarterly metrics, detailed pre-launch planning
  • Solve problems across different customers as they migrate workloads to the cloud
  • Uplift customer capabilities by running workshops and brown bag sessions

  • Experience in a similar role as a Technical Account Manager, Consultant, Solutions Architect, Platform Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Cloud Architect
  • Understanding of operational parameters and troubleshooting for 2+ areas: Compute, Storage, Networking, CDN, Databases, DevOps, Big Data and Analytics, Security, Applications Development
  • Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience
  • Ability to juggle tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer obsessed mindset
