AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're the people who keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS Data Centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.
As a Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Engineer, you'll:
- Participate in a 24/7 rotating shift pattern
- Manage routine maintenance and emergency services for critical systems
- Install new rack capacity and provision power/cooling
- Manage on-site contractors and vendors
- Establish performance benchmarks and prepare reports
- Generate change management requests and incident management tickets
- Collaborate with data center IT managers and business leaders
- Drive projects to increase facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability
Your typical day may include:
- Attending operational meetings
- Mentoring less experienced engineering operations technicians
- Planning and scheduling maintenance activities
- Collaborating on complex engineering problems
- Working with other AWS data center regions globally

Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in facilities management, maintaining a data center or critical space facility
- Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Experience with physical security protocols
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web browser-based applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers
- Mission-critical facility management experience
- Vendor/contractor management experience
- Data center project management and capacity planning experience
- Knowledge of IT services, security, and safety awareness
