AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) is seeking a Technical Site Due Diligence Manager to play a crucial role in shaping the future of AWS' infrastructure growth. This position involves leading technical site due diligence projects and partnering with stakeholders across the AWS infrastructure organization.

The role encompasses several key responsibilities:

  • Leading datacenter site selection and technical due diligence processes
  • Scoping technical studies and analysis for prospective datacenter sites
  • Managing and overseeing engineering and technical consultancies
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders and interpreting analysis results
  • Making site acquisition, design, engineering, and technology recommendations
  • Evaluating site risks and constraints impact on development costs and schedules

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The team is responsible for maintaining the cloud's operational excellence, supporting all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment.

Requirements For Technical Site Due Diligence Manager, Risk & Resiliency

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
  • 10+ years of technical program or project management experience
  • Multidisciplinary concept/preliminary design experience
  • Background in civil engineering, architecture, environmental sciences, or similar technical disciplines
