Amazon Robotics is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their expanding team in Melbourne. This role combines technical expertise with customer obsession to maintain over one million Amazon robots operating 24/7. The position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge robotics technology, even for those without prior robotics experience, as comprehensive training is provided.

The role involves deep technical problem-solving, working with various data sources and logs to identify hardware and software faults within the Amazon Robotics environment. You'll collaborate with on-site technicians, engineers, and software development teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality across all systems. The position requires working one weekend day as part of a 5-day work week to maintain critical 24-hour global support coverage.

As part of Amazon's premier Robotics problem-solving team, you'll join a global network of robotic system specialists. The environment is solutions-focused and free from KPI-centric metrics, offering support through various channels including tickets, phone, and chat. The comprehensive internal training program includes both onsite and remote mentoring, plus training at customer sites.

Responsibilities For Technical Support Engineer, Amazon Robotics Technical Support (ARTS)

  • Deep-dive into and resolve technical issues via in-house ticketing system
  • Utilize data sources and logs to identify hardware or software faults within the Amazon Robotics environment
  • Collaborate with on-site robotics technicians and engineers
  • Participate in live troubleshooting sessions for critical issues
  • Coordinate resolution efforts and escalate as needed
  • Contribute to process improvement and automation
  • Work 5-day work week including one weekend day for 24/7 coverage
