Description For Test Automation Engineer, Avionics Test Engineering

Amazon's Project Kuiper is an ambitious initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. As a Test Automation Engineer on the Avionics Test Engineering team, you'll be at the forefront of satellite system design, verification test, and operations. The role combines hands-on technical work with lab equipment automation and test system development for both development and production environments.

You'll work with top-tier engineers across multiple spacecraft design, test, and operations teams, solving unprecedented challenges at scale. The position requires expertise in automation, lab equipment control, and software development, with opportunities to impact the qualification and acceptance testing of hardware subsystems for flight computers, power delivery, and RF systems on the satellite avionics bus.

The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $105,600 to $185,000 based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a project that will ultimately improve internet connectivity for millions of people globally. The position requires U.S. person status due to export control regulations and offers significant growth potential in the space technology sector.

Working at Amazon means being part of a company that values innovation and customer-centricity, where you'll have the chance to make history while working on cutting-edge space technology. The role combines the stability of a tech giant with the excitement of a space technology venture, offering both technical challenges and meaningful impact.
