Description For Trade Manager EMEA, Global Trade and Product Compliance

Amazon is seeking a Trade Compliance Manager to join their Global Trade and Product Compliance (GPTC) organization for AWS. This role will support the business in managing import and export compliance matters across the EMEA region. The position reports to the EMEA Regional Trade Compliance Manager and involves working with various teams including Development, Datacenter Engineering, AWS Services, Operations, and Procurement.

The role is crucial in ensuring AWS's infrastructure equipment is imported/exported compliantly across multiple countries. You'll be responsible for managing trade compliance processes, providing guidance on import/export activities, and working with stakeholders to implement and improve compliance procedures.

Responsibilities For Trade Manager EMEA, Global Trade and Product Compliance

  • Manage daily tasks related to import/export compliance guidance in EMEA markets
  • Assist with technology, hardware, and software trade classification
  • Interface with internal and external partners to identify and rectify process gaps
  • Develop and maintain operational processes and procedures
  • Build communications and training plans for trade compliance processes
  • Monitor import/export regulatory changes in EMEA region
  • Generate performance requirements, timelines, and metrics
  • Drive process improvement initiatives
  • Engage in Country Launch Due diligence

Requirements For Trade Manager EMEA, Global Trade and Product Compliance

  • 5+ years of direct experience with customs and trade compliance in EMEA Region
  • 3+ years of direct experience handling imports/exports Customs clearance operations
  • 1+ years of experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements
