Description For Vendor Performance Partner Manager, AWS IPM - APAC

AWS Infrastructure Services is at the heart of keeping the cloud running, managing all AWS global infrastructure including data centers, servers, storage, networking, and essential equipment. The AWS Infrastructure Partner Management (IPM) team plays a crucial role in vendor management for colocation data center deployments. As a Vendor Partner Manager, you'll work across AWS teams to manage relationships with colocation providers and drive service improvements globally. You'll lead business reviews, develop risk reduction strategies, and act as a subject matter expert on vendor relationships.

The role combines strategic partnership management with operational excellence, requiring strong business acumen and vendor management expertise. You'll be part of a diverse team that includes software, hardware, and network engineers, working to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while optimizing infrastructure costs for customers.

Responsibilities For Vendor Performance Partner Manager, AWS IPM - APAC

  • Lead cross-organizational business reviews with key infrastructure providers
  • Lead development and implementation of infrastructure risk reduction and mitigation solutions
  • Manage commercial and operational relationships with key infrastructure vendors
  • Facilitate issue resolution between AWS internal customers and colo vendors
  • Drive service improvements across global portfolio of infrastructure deployments
  • Act as subject matter expert on AWS's commercial relationship with infrastructure vendors
  • Identify and drive targeted improvement initiatives

Requirements For Vendor Performance Partner Manager, AWS IPM - APAC

  • 3+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • 3+ years in vendor management, business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
  • Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma projects
