Description For Water Infrastructure Engineer, AWS Water Team

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Water Infrastructure Engineer to join their AWS water infrastructure team. This role is crucial in executing projects related to water-based cooling system infrastructure for AWS data centers globally. The position involves working with diverse teams including real estate, engineering, construction, and operations to ensure infrastructure projects meet regulatory standards while maintaining operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will manage water sustainability projects in US East regions, oversee multiple water infrastructure development projects, and monitor operational efficiency metrics. They will serve as the central point of contact for water and wastewater treatment systems and maintain relationships with utility partners. The role requires a strong mechanical or chemistry background with understanding of water-cooled infrastructure in building operations.

At AWS, you'll join a diverse team of professionals working on the most challenging problems in cloud infrastructure. The company values work-life harmony and promotes an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, supporting data centers with servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment.

The position offers significant growth opportunities through knowledge-sharing and mentorship programs. AWS's commitment to diversity and inclusion is reflected in their employee-led affinity groups and ongoing learning experiences. The role requires up to 20% travel and involves working with various internal teams and external partners to develop and implement solutions, particularly in rural areas lacking adequate water infrastructure.
