AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Water Resources Manager for their APAC Water Team to join their infrastructure operations. This role is crucial in managing and developing water-based cooling systems across AWS data centers in the APAC region. The position combines engineering expertise with strategic planning, requiring deep knowledge of water infrastructure and sustainability practices.

The role involves working with AWS's global infrastructure team, responsible for keeping the cloud running through management of data centers, servers, storage, and cooling equipment. You'll be the subject matter expert for water infrastructure, conducting due diligence on water and wastewater systems, negotiating with utilities, and ensuring smooth operations of water-based cooling systems.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing water infrastructure strategies, managing relationships with utilities, conducting technical evaluations, and driving sustainability initiatives. The position requires extensive experience in civil engineering and water infrastructure projects, with a focus on large-scale industrial applications.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in water infrastructure and engineering solutions, strong technical knowledge of cooling systems, and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders. Responsibilities For Water Resources Manager, APAC Water Team

  • Manage water and wastewater service delivery at new and existing AWS facilities
  • Execute comprehensive water infrastructure delivery for global AWS infrastructure expansion
  • Develop AWS water-based cooling launch strategies for new regions
  • Ensure effective operation of water systems at existing sites
  • Identify and develop cost savings projects related to water infrastructure
  • Track and manage reliability and maintenance of water systems
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action for water systems
  • Deliver water sustainability projects
  • 20% regional travel for site review and engineering evaluations

Requirements For Water Resources Manager, APAC Water Team

  • Bachelor's Degree/Masters in Civil Engineering
  • 7+ years work experience delivering public water infrastructure and engineering solutions
  • 5+ years of project-related experience working with government agencies, utilities, and site development
  • Strong understanding of civil/mechanical/plumbing related to water infrastructure/data centers
  • Knowledge of chillers, pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, air handling units
