World Wide Senior Specialist Solutions Architect - Security

Do you have an extensive background in delivering strategic outcomes for security and compliance and a passion for working with customers to solve complex technical challenges to help them safely transition workloads to the cloud? AWS is looking for passionate and experienced security professionals to work with customers to help guide their vision, address risks, and implement security, resilience, and compliance strategies on the AWS platform.

This role will:

• Provide thought leadership and operate with a high degree of autonomy and visibility as part of our worldwide specialist team
• Advise and deliver strategic outcomes across various industry sectors and challenging environments
• Challenge, dive into details, and show how AWS can support complex security, availability, and compliance strategies
• Have high visibility at senior levels of customer organizations, including frequent interaction with customer boards, their staff, and AWS senior leadership
• Act as the security interface with AWS customers and service teams
• Foster key relationships, interpret impacts of industry and regulatory changes, and track industry trends

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading security, risk, and compliance conversations with large AWS customers
• Managing senior stakeholders to deliver consensus and drive positive customer outcomes
• Helping customers integrate AWS security controls into their frameworks
• Partnering with customers to understand AWS security requirements and achieve ongoing assurance
• Directing AWS teams across multiple engagements to drive targeted outcomes
• Resolving complex security concerns through deep dive discussions, strategic presentations, and hands-on demonstrations
• Developing industry-leading security resources based on customer needs
• Building relationships to help customers understand incident response
• Assisting the AWS compliance team in determining strategic directions
• Staying connected with global industry trends related to regulations and requirements

The role is part of the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO), which works backwards from customers to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses.
