YYC Regional Safety Engineer, Data Center Health & Safety

Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world's leading cloud platform, is seeking a Regional Safety Engineer for their data center operations in Canada. This role combines technical expertise with safety management, focusing on protecting employees and maintaining AWS's world-class safety culture. As a Regional Safety Engineer, you'll lead the health and safety function for your assigned area, working directly with data center teams handling electrical equipment, mechanical systems, and critical IT infrastructure. You'll collaborate with multiple departments including security, construction, operations, and compliance to enhance global safety programs.

Your responsibilities will include conducting safety audits, implementing safety standards, developing emergency response plans, and performing data analysis to drive safety improvements. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of field safety experience, strong knowledge of safety regulations, and excellent communication skills. You'll need to be bilingual (English and French) and have experience with safety process implementation.
