Description For Software Engineer

Ambrook is a Series A startup on a mission to make agriculture more profitable and sustainable. We're tackling the often-overlooked area of farm back office operations, aiming to improve software and streamline paperwork. As one of our first engineers, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our technical decisions and product direction.

In this role, you'll own the delivery of elegant, performant product experiences and infrastructure. You'll be expected to teach best practices in engineering architecture, project management, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll also have the opportunity to learn about building an agrifinance and climate tech company, including agricultural bookkeeping, farm finance ecosystems, and natural resource management.

Your responsibilities will include improving our full-stack architecture, API, and engineering tooling. You'll collaborate with our Product team to influence feature prioritization, plan and execute improvements to our infrastructure, and perform end-to-end data analysis. We're looking for someone who can champion strong user data hygiene, operational security, and privacy practices.

Our tech stack includes Next.js/React applications written in TypeScript, hosted on Google Cloud, with Firestore & Google Cloud Storage for data storage, and BigQuery & Data Studio for data insights. Experience with these technologies is a plus, but we're primarily looking for someone with a track record of shipping web applications and a passion for sustainable agriculture.

At Ambrook, we value real talk, understanding, proactive resourcefulness, thoughtful risk management, and finding positive-sum solutions. We offer competitive compensation, health insurance, 401(k) with matching, paid parental leave, flexible work arrangements, and various stipends for professional development and wellness.

Join us in our mission to create a more sustainable and profitable future for agriculture!
