Description For Software Engineer (Early Career)

Ambrook is a Series A startup revolutionizing the intersection of sustainability and finance for America's independent businesses, starting with farmers and ranchers. They're building an affordable accounting, banking, and payments platform to help make sustainability profitable for family-run businesses. The role offers a unique opportunity for an early-career engineer to join a world-class engineering team, working with modern technologies like Next.js, React, and TypeScript.

The position involves full-stack development, focusing on delivering elegant product experiences and infrastructure improvements. You'll work on both web and mobile development using React Native, while gaining deep insights into agrifinance and climate tech. The role combines technical challenges with meaningful impact, as you'll help build solutions that enable sustainable practices in agriculture.

As an early team member, you'll have significant ownership and growth opportunities. Within the first three months, you'll own large features in the core bookkeeping product, contribute to infrastructure improvements, and work directly with customers to understand their needs. The company offers competitive benefits, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and various stipends for professional development and wellness.

Backed by notable investors like Thrive Capital and Homebrew, Ambrook is tackling the critical challenge of making sustainability financially viable for independent businesses. The role is perfect for someone passionate about using technology to drive environmental and economic impact, while working in a collaborative environment with experienced professionals from leading companies.
