Description For Software Engineer (Early Career)

Ambrook is a Series A startup revolutionizing the intersection of sustainability and finance for family-run businesses. Backed by prominent investors like Thrive Capital and Homebrew, we're building a comprehensive platform that combines accounting, banking, and payments to help operators understand their finances and access capital for sustainable transitions.

The role offers a unique opportunity for an early-career engineer to join a world-class engineering team, working on cutting-edge technology to make agriculture more sustainable and profitable. You'll be working with a modern tech stack including Next.js/React with TypeScript, hosted on Google Cloud, and utilizing tools like Firestore and BigQuery for data storage and insights.

As an early team member, you'll have significant ownership and impact, from delivering standalone features to collaborating on large-scale projects. You'll gain deep industry knowledge in agrifinance and climate tech, while working directly with customers to understand their needs. The role combines technical challenges with meaningful impact, helping America's independent businesses navigate climate-driven challenges while maintaining profitability.

The company culture emphasizes real talk, understanding, proactive problem-solving, and thoughtful risk management. With competitive benefits and a flexible work environment, Ambrook offers an excellent opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to environmental and financial sustainability. The position is hybrid-based in either New York City or Denver, providing flexibility while maintaining collaborative opportunities with the team.
