Description For Software Engineer (Early Career)

Ambrook is a Series A startup revolutionizing the financial data layer of America's independent businesses, particularly focusing on farmers and ranchers. We're building an affordable accounting, banking, and payments platform that helps operators understand their numbers and access capital for sustainable transitions.

The role offers a unique opportunity for an early-career engineer to join a world-class engineering team, learning from experienced professionals from leading companies. You'll be working on our Next.js/React application written in TypeScript, hosted on Google Cloud, with Firestore & Google Cloud Storage for data storage, and BigQuery & Data Studio for data insights.

As an early-career engineer, you'll own the delivery of product experiences, work with React Native for mobile development, and improve our full-stack architecture. Within your first three months, you'll be collaborating with the Product team, managing large features, and executing improvements to our infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of experience shipping web applications and be passionate about making industries like agriculture more sustainable. You'll be joining a mission-driven company backed by top investors (Thrive Capital, Dylan Field, Homebrew, Designer Fund, BoxGroup) and working on meaningful challenges at the intersection of American industry and climate.

We offer competitive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid parental leave, and various stipends for professional development and wellness. Our values emphasize real talk, understanding, proactive resourcefulness, thoughtful risk management, and creating positive-sum outcomes for our company, customers, and planet.
