Production Engineer

Americas Styrenics LLC is seeking a Production Engineer for their Allyn's Point polystyrene production facility in Gales Ferry, CT. The position focuses on managing day-to-day operations and ensuring long-term operational viability of two polystyrene production lines.

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on operational management, requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You'll work directly with plant operators, maintenance personnel, and other technical resources to optimize processes, implement improvements, and ensure safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include daily process troubleshooting, leading improvement projects, participating in product scale-ups, and providing technical direction to various teams. You'll also be involved in root cause investigations, audits, and implementing best practices for operational optimization.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. This is an on-site position that provides hands-on experience in industrial process control, manufacturing operations, and technical leadership.
