Ammortal Inc is seeking a Senior Mechatronic Engineer to join their innovative team developing the Ammortal Chamber, a cutting-edge wellness technology that combines multiple scientifically-backed technologies into one experience. The company, having completed its first year of product shipping, has shown strong growth and serves clients including specialty spas, clinics, sports teams, and individual biohackers and athletes.

The role is crucial for advancing the Ammortal Chamber's mission of creating advanced wellness technology that seamlessly integrates hardware, control systems, and software. As a Senior Mechatronic Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing embedded control systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and leveraging advanced manufacturing capabilities to create efficient, scalable, and user-friendly systems.

The position offers hands-on experience and opportunities to grow into leadership roles while making a tangible impact on wellness technology development. You'll work directly with the Director of Product Development and collaborate across embedded development and software teams to create innovative solutions. The role involves significant responsibility in electromechanical system development, mechanical design, and production implementation.

The ideal candidate should have at least 1.5 years of experience in mechatronics or electrical engineering, with strong capabilities in embedded control systems, CAD software, and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of programming languages like C++, Python, and JavaScript is preferred, along with experience in hardware-software integrated products.

Located in Mars Hill, just outside Asheville, NC, this full-time, on-site position offers competitive compensation ranging from $95,000 to $140,000 based on experience, along with comprehensive healthcare benefits. Responsibilities For Senior Mechatronic Engineer

  • Designing, prototyping, and refining new electromechanical systems, including PCB and embedded control system integration
  • Creating and drafting new mechanical and mechatronic designs with focus on folded sheet metal and electromechanical assemblies
  • Collaborating with Embedded Development and Software Development teams
  • Researching and developing new programmatic features
  • Leading and executing prototyping and production of new Chamber hardware
  • Working with manufacturing partner Spark Robotic

Requirements For Senior Mechatronic Engineer

  • Design and implementation of embedded control systems in a networked fashion
  • Proficiency in CAD package (Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion360 or similar)
  • Proficiency in Asana or similar project management software
  • 1.5+ years of professional experience in mechatronics or electrical engineering
  • Experience with sheet metal design and electromechanical assembly
  • Understanding of basic manufacturing processes
  • Experience designing for integrated systems, including PCB layout
  • Experience in hardware-software integrated products
  • Knowledge in control engineering and basic electronics
