AMT, a well-established employee-owned engineering firm with a 68-year legacy, is seeking an Entry Level Transportation Engineer to join their Knoxville, TN office starting May 2025. Responsibilities For Entry Level Transportation Engineer

  • Support projects involving data collection, existing condition and alternative analysis evaluation for engineering reports
  • Development of horizontal and vertical alignments, performing cross-section and super-elevation design
  • Roadway modeling, development of transportation infrastructure plans
  • Computing quantity takeoffs

Requirements For Entry Level Transportation Engineer

  • BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
  • Engineering-in-Training Certification (or ability to obtain in 6-12 months) preferred
  • Prior internship or work experience preferred
  • Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD/Civil3D and/or Bentley Microstation/InRoads or Open Roads preferred
  • Knowledge of civil engineering design and construction surveying concepts
  • Experience with MS Office products including Word and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
