Description For LAN/WAN Engineer

AnaVation, a leader in solving complex technical challenges for the U.S. Federal Intelligence Community, is seeking a Lead LAN/WAN Engineer. This role supports an intel customer across multiple locations, focusing on technical transformation through leading-edge technology insertions. The engineer will be involved in developing new designs, implementing solutions, and operating new or enhanced services for LANs, WANs, unified communication, video telecommunication, and streaming services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert design, analysis, research, and operational support for complex networking problems and processes
  • Communicate clearly both in writing and orally
  • Work in dynamic, fast-paced environments requiring team interaction and coordination
  • Serve as a technical expert on project teams, providing direction on existing and new services
  • Manage small teams of engineers and related technical staff
  • Consult with other engineers, team leads, and customer stakeholders on requirements and technical direction
  • Provide expertise on various network components and monitoring tools

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen with TS/SCI security clearance and ability to obtain a CI poly
  • IAT II certification (or industry equivalent), CCNP or CCIE (or industry equivalent)
  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience
  • Expertise in Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, and Network Systems Management
  • Deep knowledge of and hands-on experience with various network components and tools
  • Expertise in BGP, OSPF, various tunnel types, Spine and Leaf, and BGP Peering

Linux

  • Expertise in Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, and Network Systems Management
  • Deep knowledge of and hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, F5, Aruba, Ruckus, Versa, NOM, NetScout and/or related network components or monitoring tools
  • Expertise in BGP, OSPF, Tunnels (GRE, SudeoWire, VPN, L2TP), Spine and Leaf and BGP Peering
