Description For Mid-level Mobile Forensics Engineer

AnaVation is seeking a Mid-level Mobile Forensics Engineer to join their testing lab in Quantico, VA. This role requires expertise in mobile device forensic analysis, with a focus on both Android and Apple devices. The engineer will be responsible for reviewing the before and after states of phones in the mobile testing platform, as well as designing new capabilities and proposing hardware and software solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting mobile device forensic analysis
  • Designing and implementing new capabilities for the mobile testing platform
  • Researching and proposing hardware and software solutions
  • Working with both Android and Apple devices

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in mobile device forensic analysis
  • Proficiency with ADB and other Android device tools
  • Understanding of the Apple ecosystem and phone management
  • Experience with Linux disk management functions like DD
  • Ability to work across multiple OS platforms (Linux, Mac, Windows, Android, iOS)
  • Excellent analytical and technical writing skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • A BA or BS degree
  • Active Top Secret Clearance

Preferred qualifications include experience with Zdziarski Methods, Santoku OS, and GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst certification.
