Description For Lead Embedded Linux Engineer

Anduril Industries, a cutting-edge defense technology company, is seeking a Lead Embedded Linux Engineer to join their Vehicle Autonomy team in Irvine, California. This role is part of the DeviceOS team, responsible for developing the operating system that powers Anduril's robotic systems for land, sea, and air applications. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in embedded Linux systems development and a strong interest in using Nix/NixOS.

Key responsibilities include board bring-up on embedded ARM boards, customizing vendor BSPs for NixOS systems, securing embedded Linux systems, and developing automated hardware-in-the-loop tests. The role requires expertise in C or Rust, with additional experience in C++, Python, Go, or Haskell being beneficial.

Anduril offers a competitive salary range of $210,000 - $240,000 USD, along with highly competitive equity grants.   • Help secure our embedded Linux systems
  • Develop and maintain automated hardware-in-the-loop tests to ensure proper functionality of Linux systems

Requirements For Lead Embedded Linux Engineer

  • Interest in using Nix/NixOS as an alternative to Yocto, buildroot, etc
  • Experience debugging and performing root cause investigations using hardware schematics and component datasheets

  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
