Description For Senior Software Engineer, Capital Products

AngelList, a leading platform in venture capital and startup ecosystem supporting over $124B+ in assets, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Capital Products team. This role represents a unique opportunity to shape the future of private market investments, working on products that streamline the entire investing lifecycle from discovery to reporting.

The position offers an environment where engineers have significant impact through small, high-trust teams with minimal management overhead. You'll be joining as a founding engineer on the Capital Products Team, working on creating robust backend services and intuitive user interfaces that integrate seamlessly with AngelList's ecosystem and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 4+ years of experience building large-scale web applications, with a focus on backend development. You'll be working in a complex, fast-moving environment where you'll help shape product direction while collaborating across product, design, operations, and compliance teams.

AngelList offers a competitive compensation package starting at $200,000+ annually, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. The position is hybrid, requiring two days per week in either the San Francisco or New York City office (Tuesdays and choice between Wednesday or Thursday).

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is deeply curious about venture capital and financial infrastructure, enjoys tackling complex challenges, and wants to be part of a team that's revolutionizing how individuals and institutions invest in private markets. The role offers extensive learning opportunities about the venture financing business while contributing to a platform that has already facilitated investments in over 12,000 startups, including 282 unicorns.
