Senior Software Security Engineer

Anthropic is seeking a Senior Software Security Engineer to help secure their frontier AI research and development. In this role, you'll be responsible for:

• Designing and implementing secure-by-default controls for AI model training systems, software supply chains, and deployment environments
• Performing security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments
• Supporting responsible disclosure and bug bounty programs
• Mentoring other security engineers and contributing to company building activities
• Building security awareness across the organization and coaching on secure coding practices
• Leading efforts on multi-party authorization for AI-critical infrastructure, reducing sensitive production access, and securing build pipelines

The ideal candidate will have:

• 8+ years of software development experience with a security focus
• Experience applying security best practices to complex systems
• Proficiency in languages like Rust, Python, Javascript/Typescript
• A track record of successful security initiatives and cross-functional collaboration
• Passion for making AI systems safe, interpretable, and aligned with human values

Strong candidates may also have experience supporting fast-paced startup engineering teams and care about AI safety risk scenarios.
