Responsibilities For Electric Propulsion Engineer (Mid)

  • Design electric propulsion system architecture, develop product specifications, and maintain Technical Performance Metrics
  • Define placement and integration of electric propulsion system architecture
  • Document and maintain detailed work instructions, process flow diagrams, and AI&T procedures
  • Establish engine degradation model and perform filtration analysis
  • Design high pressure fluidic systems and fluid system instrumentation
  • Develop qualification and acceptance test plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for subsystem integration
  • Troubleshoot anomalies during manufacturing
  • Interface with customers/suppliers
  • Conduct trade studies for electric propulsion components
  • Contribute to proposals and business development efforts

Requirements For Electric Propulsion Engineer (Mid)

  • U.S. Person status required
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electric propulsion, or aerospace-related engineering
  • 3-5 years of propulsion design and test experience
  • Experience with handling and testing pressurized systems
  • Strong knowledge of propulsion, spacecraft systems, and range safety
  • Ability to decompose supplier ICDs
  • Experience with CAD software (NX, SolidWorks)
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing in clean environment and AS9100 protocols
