Responsibilities For Mission Operations Engineer (Mid)

  • Develop and execute detailed mission plans for small spacecraft operations
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure mission objectives are met
  • Monitor spacecraft during mission operations and respond to anomalies in real-time
  • Operate and control spacecraft from mission control centers
  • Conduct pre-launch tests, simulations, and rehearsals
  • Analyze telemetry data to monitor spacecraft health and performance
  • Identify and troubleshoot spacecraft anomalies and system failures
  • Implement corrective actions and develop contingency plans
  • Analyze mission data and generate comprehensive reports
  • Maintain detailed documentation of mission operations and procedures

Requirements For Mission Operations Engineer (Mid)

Python
  • U.S. Person status required
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3-6 years of experience in spacecraft operations
  • Proficiency in spacecraft operations software and tools
  • Strong understanding of spacecraft systems
  • Experience with telemetry data analysis
  • Proficiency in Python and C/C++
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, and Docker
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems
  • Knowledge of satellite operations software
  • Must be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
