Data Platform Engineer

Apollo, the worldwide leader in GraphQL innovation, is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join their Platform Engineering organization. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on building a best-in-class Data practice, partnering with Data Science and broader engineering teams.

The position involves working on diverse projects, from collecting product usage data to understanding business operations and empowering go-to-market strategies. You'll be part of a team that has already established a solid data lake/warehouse infrastructure and is now focusing on leveraging this data to drive high-impact strategic decisions.

As a Data Platform Engineer, you'll work alongside top-tier Platform Engineers in an environment that values efficient code delivery and forward-thinking design. The role requires expertise in various modern data technologies, including BigQuery, Airflow, Kafka, DBT, and more. You'll be responsible for creating technical designs that address cost efficiency, security, and observability while delivering technical plans and other crucial artifacts.
