Description For ASIC Design Engineer

Apple Inc., a global technology leader, is seeking an ASIC Design Engineer to join their Silicon Engineering team in Beaverton. This role focuses on developing custom SoCs that power Apple's world-class products. As an ASIC Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing complex ASICs, working with cutting-edge technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The position requires expertise in RTL design, verification, and physical implementation, with a strong foundation in Verilog and various EDA tools. You'll be involved in all aspects of the chip development process, from initial design to final implementation, ensuring high performance, low power consumption, and area-efficient designs.

Responsibilities For ASIC Design Engineer

  • Design, implementation, and verification of complex ASICs
  • Develop RTL code using verilog and perform synthesis
  • Engage with simulation-based and formal verification teams
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams for SoC integration
  • Conduct static timing analysis and power optimization
  • Create detailed design documentation and specifications
  • Contribute to design flows, methodologies, and tools development

Requirements For ASIC Design Engineer

  • BS degree + 3 years relevant industry experience
  • Proficiency in Verilog, RTL design, logic synthesis, and timing analysis
  • Experience with EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence) and DFT techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with high-speed I/O design and protocols
  • Familiarity with custom ASIC design and FPGA prototyping
  • Proficiency in front end tools and methodology
  • Knowledge of low-power design techniques
  • Experience with UVM (Universal Verification Methodology)
