Responsibilities For Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, Audio

  • Design precision assembly and measurement processes for Apple products
  • Perform research and development on new technologies for complex assembly and automation problems
  • Design, implement and scale automated and semi-automated solutions
  • Provide direction and mentorship to third party machine/automation suppliers
  • Organize cross-functional reviews of machine requirements, design, qualification and capability
  • Create RFQ/RFPs for automated equipment
  • Drive machine qualification including correlation, process capability and Gage R&R
  • Conduct failure analysis and machine issue resolution
  • Run equipment experiments and analyze data
  • Provide manufacturing involvement for product manufacturability

Requirements For Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, Audio

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering field
  • 5+ years of strong work experience in precision assembly, inspection and automation equipment
  • Ability to travel 20-25%
  • Knowledge of machine qualification requirements and design of experiments
  • Understanding of build tolerance analysis
  • Experience with robotics, pneumatics, servo motors, and control systems
  • Knowledge of optics principles and CCD cameras
  • Communication skills in a worldwide environment
  • Project management and engineering design experience
