Responsibilities For Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

  • Design precision assembly and measurement processes for Apple products
  • Perform R&D on new technologies for complex assembly and automation problems
  • Design and implement automated and semi-automated solutions
  • Provide direction and mentorship to third party machine/automation suppliers
  • Organize cross-functional reviews of machine requirements and design
  • Create RFQ/RFPs for automated equipment
  • Travel internationally up to 40% for equipment support and qualification
  • Drive machine qualification and failure analysis
  • Perform data analysis and communicate machine capability
  • Work on Design for Manufacturability
  • Provide production support engineering

Requirements For Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

  • BSME or equivalent (MSME desired)
  • 5+ years engineering experience with automation equipment
  • Understanding of tolerance analysis for parts and assemblies
  • Knowledge of machine qualification and calibration
  • Experience with GD&T principles
  • Knowledge of CAD software (NX, SolidWorks, ProE)
  • Understanding of robotics, pneumatics, and control systems
  • Experience with JMP, Minitab & Six Sigma
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 40%
