AIML - Senior Front End Platform Engineer - Full Stack, ML Systems and Evaluation Engineering

Apple is seeking a Senior Front End Platform Engineer to join their Machine Learning and AI team, specifically the ML Systems Evaluation Engineering (MLSEE) team. This role is part of the Siri team, which is at the forefront of the next revolution in machine learning and Generative AI. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing production quality web applications and ML Evaluations Platform. They will participate in engineering design discussions and be responsible for the end user experience. The role requires a passion for user experience and crafting best-in-class products.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing responsive and user-friendly web applications and services
• Full stack development with a focus on front-end technologies
• Participating in engineering design discussions
• Ensuring applications serve users in the best possible manner
• Working both collaboratively and independently in a rapidly changing environment

Required skills and experience:

• 5+ years experience in building responsive web applications and full stack development
• Strong software engineering skills, including system design, development, testing, debugging, release, and maintenance
• Expertise with popular web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular)
• Proficiency in Python and at least one other object-oriented programming language
• Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms and data visualization
• Experience with ModelOps pipelines is a plus
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

The ideal candidate will have a real passion for UX and design, experience writing reliable and well-tested code, and knowledge of ML training pipelines. Experience with big data pipelines and AWS cloud environment is advantageous.
