Apple Silicon Engineering Group (SEG) is seeking Analog Layout Engineers for their next-generation systems-on-chip (SOCs) development. These SOCs power iPhones and iPads, focusing on Analog/Mixed-Signal circuits including SerDes, PLLs, and sensors. The role involves transforming design ideas into silicon, working with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities For Analog Layout Engineer

  • Delivering Analog Mixed-Signal IP in an SOC flow
  • Crafting sophisticated layout for mixed signal and analog circuits
  • Reviewing and analyzing floorplans and intricate circuits
  • Running complete sets of design verification tools
  • Working with circuit design engineers to plan/schedule work
  • Interpreting LVS, DRC and ERC reports
  • Applying sophisticated CAD tools and mask design knowledge

Requirements For Analog Layout Engineer

  • B.S. and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience or equivalent
  • 10+ years in analog/mixed-signal layout design of deep submicron CMOS circuits
  • Experience implementing analog layout designs
  • High proficiency in custom and standard cell-based floor-planning
  • Technical understanding of IR drop, RC delay, electro-migration
  • Proficiency in interpreting physical verification reports
  • Experience using Cadence Virtuoso's advanced features
  • Programming/scripting knowledge in SKILL, Perl, TCL, Shell and/or Python
  • Excellent communication skills
