Apple is seeking an ASIC Design Engineer to join their Silicon Technologies group, focusing on the development of next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient system-on-chip (SoC) solutions. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of industry experience and a BS degree, with a strong preference for candidates who have significant experience in media, video, pixel, or display designs. You'll need to demonstrate a deep understanding of timing/area/complexity tradeoffs and familiarity with common on-chip bus protocols.

Responsibilities For ASIC Design Engineer

  • Collaborate with architecture team to write microarchitecture specifications and define interfaces for pixel-processing IP
  • Perform feasibility analysis on suggested architecture(s) and algorithm(s)
  • Perform RTL design and logic implementation of agreed architecture
  • Integrate subsystems with internal and external IPs
  • Perform front-end implementation tasks such as synthesis, logic equivalence check, and STA

Requirements For ASIC Design Engineer

  • BS degree + 3 years relevant industry experience
  • Previous experience in media, video, pixel, or display designs
  • Understanding of timing/area/complexity tradeoffs for data path design
  • Familiarity with common on-chip bus protocols (AMBA, AXI, AHB, APB)
  • Experience in front-end implementation tasks
  • Knowledge of ASIC/FPGA design methodology
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
