Description For ASIC Design Engineer - Pixel IP

Apple is seeking an experienced ASIC Design Engineer to join their Silicon Technologies group, focusing on pixel IP design and implementation. This role is crucial in developing next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient system-on-chip (SoC) solutions that power Apple's innovative devices.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of hardware design and multimedia processing, where you'll be responsible for creating sophisticated pixel-processing IP that directly impacts millions of Apple users worldwide. As part of this highly transparent role, you'll be at the center of multimedia IP design efforts, collaborating across multiple teams to deliver functional products efficiently.

Your responsibilities will span the entire design process, from architectural specification to implementation. You'll work closely with the architecture team to define and document microarchitecture specifications, conduct feasibility analyses, and implement RTL designs. The role requires expertise in front-end implementation tasks, including synthesis, logic equivalence checking, and static timing analysis.

The ideal candidate brings at least 10 years of relevant industry experience, with a strong background in media, video, pixel, or display designs. Your expertise should include a deep understanding of timing/area/complexity tradeoffs and familiarity with common on-chip bus protocols. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential, as you'll be working across teams to integrate various subsystems.

This position offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $175,800 to $312,200, plus additional benefits such as stock options, comprehensive healthcare, and education reimbursement. You'll be working at Apple's Cupertino location, contributing to technology that powers devices used by millions of customers worldwide.

Join Apple's Silicon Technologies group to be part of a team that's pushing the boundaries of what's possible in chip design, while working on products that have a genuine impact on people's daily lives. This role offers the perfect blend of technical challenges, collaborative environment, and the opportunity to shape the future of Apple's hardware technology.
