Description For Audio Triage Engineer

Apple is seeking a creative and organized Audio Triage Engineer to join their Audio Triage Operations team. This role involves screening and organizing incoming bug reports across all of Apple's products and customer base. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Apple software, hardware, and audio, with a strong dedication to product quality and reliability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reading, triaging, and routing audio bugs to Audio engineering and audio-adjacent teams
  • Using debugging and analysis tools for initial bug report analysis
  • Detecting repetitive manual routines and aiding in their automation
  • Identifying potential trends in incoming bugs and escalating to program management
  • Working directly with engineering and cross-functional teams to solve complex problems

The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This high-visibility position offers the opportunity to interact with a wide range of audio issues across all of Apple's hardware and software products, including accessories.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Music Technology, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience in software development and/or testing
  • Familiarity with real-time audio handling
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills

Preferred skills:

  • Understanding of electronics, audio technology, and recording studios
  • CPU performance and memory debugging capabilities
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript, or other scripting languages
  • CoreAudio API experience
  • AI/ML experience

This role offers a competitive base pay range of $129,600 to $236,300, along with additional benefits such as stock options, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, and educational reimbursement opportunities.

Responsibilities For Audio Triage Engineer
