Apple's Battery Engineering group is seeking a Battery Manufacturing Test Engineer to join their innovative team. This role sits within the Battery Management Systems organization, focusing on creating and implementing cutting-edge battery technologies for Apple's world-class devices. The position offers an opportunity to work at the forefront of Battery Management Systems development and manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive testing strategies, improving test coverage, and enhancing test efficiency in production environments. Working with a dedicated team of engineers, you'll collaborate across multiple functions to push the boundaries of battery technology and improve product experiences for customers worldwide.

Key aspects of the role include developing end-to-end testing strategies, designing manufacturing test processes, collaborating with contract test vendors, and establishing strong FA processes at vendor sites. You'll be involved in statistical analysis using Six Sigma principles and Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies to ensure manufacturing excellence.

This position offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $157,000 to $278,900, plus additional benefits such as stock options, comprehensive healthcare, and education reimbursement. Responsibilities For Battery Manufacturing Test Engineer

  • Develop end to end testing strategies for manufacturing test processes
  • Design manufacturing test processes from SMT through systems integration at FATP
  • Drive development and implementation of test and tester
  • Collaborate with contract test vendors
  • Own testing specifications for complete test coverage
  • Identify manufacturing trends and future manufacturing capabilities
  • Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis
  • Establish FA processes at vendor sites

Requirements For Battery Manufacturing Test Engineer

  • BS in engineering field
  • 10+ years experience in design and/or manufacturing
  • Previous electronics design experience
  • Experience with HW manufacturing processes
  • Experience working with international contract manufacturer
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently under high pressure
