Battery Safety Engineer

At Apple, we're seeking a dedicated Battery Safety Engineer to join our Hardware team in ensuring our products meet the highest safety standards worldwide. This role combines expertise in Battery Technologies and Energy Storage development with a focus on product safety and compliance. You'll be instrumental in supporting safety engineering and standardized testing of innovative consumer products, applying your deep understanding of Battery design, testing, manufacturing, and integration towards qualification and commercialization of modules for Apple's world-class products.

As a Battery Safety Engineer, you'll work with international and regional standards to guide, drive, and validate Apple designs. Your expertise will be crucial in advising and influencing new designs, developing and executing safety test plans, and ensuring conformance to various specifications. This position requires someone who can navigate the complexities of Battery Systems while maintaining our commitment to user safety and trust.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of experience in battery safety engineering or battery pack design, along with a strong educational background in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent engineering. You'll need to demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
