Apple's Production Services team is seeking an experienced Broadcast Engineer to join their Cupertino-based team. This role is part of the Places organization, which manages Apple's global real estate portfolio, retail stores, and workplaces. The ideal candidate will bring 20 years of broadcast engineering experience and will be responsible for maintaining sophisticated audio-visual equipment, managing technical upgrades, and providing high-touch customer service. This role combines technical expertise with project management skills, requiring someone who can handle everything from system calibration to documentation maintenance.

Responsibilities For Broadcast Engineer

  • Manage technical gear in campus venues for live and recorded events
  • Perform preventative maintenance, break/fix, and system calibration
  • Maintain documentation including line drawings and SOPs
  • Operate screening room technology
  • Provide high-touch AV support in conference rooms
  • Cross-train in other operator roles

Requirements For Broadcast Engineer

  • 20 years of demonstrated experience in broadcast engineering in live broadcast environments
  • Ability to maintain production equipment including audio/video routers, fiber transport systems
  • Project management experience for technical upgrades and maintenance projects
  • Proficiency with test equipment like scopes, analyzers, and digital multimeters
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and climb ladders
  • Willing to travel when needed
