Apple's Hardware Technology Engineering Program Management Team is seeking an innovative and energetic Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to support the Silicon Engineering CAD organization. This role requires technical skills in front-end and back-end silicon CAD design flows, as well as strong communication and program management abilities to drive schedules and resolve issues across multiple projects and technology nodes.
As a CAD EPM focused on Silicon projects, you will:
- Work directly with hardware Technology teams
- Craft project plans and align CAD team work across multiple parallel projects
- Identify and resolve blockers
- Drive high-level achievements by focusing the CAD team on meeting near-term landmarks
- Unblock technical issues by collaborating with multi-functional technical specialists
- Manage and track project schedules
- Participate in early planning of new projects, including resourcing and scheduling
- Develop and track new project schedules and resource metrics
- Lead weekly schedule and communication meetings with upper management
- Ensure effective project schedule and dependency communication with the design team
The ideal candidate will have:
- A BS degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Chip design and/or CAD flow knowledge
- Experience in Front-end (Logic design, Synthesis, DV or DFT) or Back-end (PNR, STA, LVS, DRC, Extraction) CAD Tools/Flows
- Program/project management experience leading Silicon projects/CAD Projects
- Strong technical understanding to participate in discussions and problem-solving
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
- Experience handling conflicting priorities and driving results
- A track record of successfully delivering multiple silicon tapeouts
- The ability to work across multiple sites and cross-functionally throughout the organization
